El Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico

OUR STORY

How Adobo Puerto Rican Cafe started

Our Story

Adobo Puerto Rican Café is proudly owned by the Martinez family. Coming from Puerto Rico in 2010 they decided to settle in Irving, Texas. When they first arrived, Mr. Martinez was working as a Civil Engineer and Mrs. Martinez was working as a Flight Attendant.

Once in Texas, they felt like they needed to share some of their culture, some of their roots, the SABOR (flavor) that Puerto Rico is known for in their cooking to The Lone Star State. With that dream in mind and their desire to share delicious puertorican food with their new Texan family, Adobo Puerto Rican Cafe was born.

Adobo Puerto Rican Café opened its doors on July 23rd, 2011 to the sound of Bomba y Plena and other folkloric music and dances from Puerto Rico.

Now more than half way into 2014, we celebrate our 3rd year anniversary sharing our culture and our food with the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and others that come from abroad. Please stop by and enjoy our atmosphere, our music and our warmth. Adobo staff will greet you, feed you and keep you coming back for more.
